fAWA is an experimental art/design unit project that debuted in 2022, led by fashion designer Kazuki Kuraishi from Tokyo, who worked under the name of A.FOUR Labs for over ten years and artist Clay Arlington from Bristol. While launching basic yet quirky capsule collections, they also focus on multidisciplinary artistic activities, not limited to clothing, offering designs, and holding exhibitions regularly as part of the brand’s collections.

Born in Tokyo, 1975. After graduating from high school, he pursued his snowboard and mountain bike career in Colorado, then relocated to NYC to study graphic art. Returning to Tokyo, he started working with various fashion brands as a creative director and graphic artist, likes as adidas Originals, CASHCA, and KAPPA. Currently, his creative output is shown through his fashion label A.FOUR Labs, DUSTNATION, in collaboration with art director Tetsuya Nagato and Studio Ar.Mour, joining forces with James Lavelle (UNKLE).
He was appointed as the designer of THE NORTH FACE APAC global design project team in 2018 and became DESCENTE’s snowboard/free ski designer since the 2021/22 season. He also expresses himself in various mediums, as a musician for his band “is and ism” with NAOTO (delofamilia). As an author, he published a book in 2012, “Odds and Ends,” archiving his favorite items not only limited to fashion.
